The 29th days of the French Group of Glycosciences

C’est avec grand plaisir que nous vous invitons toutes et tous à participer aux 29^èmes journées du GFG qui sont programmées à Obernai du 27 au 31 mai 2024. Le comité d’organisation s’est appuyé sur les ingrédients qui ont fait depuis près de cinquante ans le succès de ces rencontres : science, interdisciplinarité et convivialité. Ces journées s’articuleront autour de temps forts comme la remise des prix du GFG, les présentations de conférencier.e.s reconnu.e.s internationalement et des séances de posters toujours très animées. La proximité de Strasbourg, « capitale de Nobel », ne sera pas sans influence sur cette 29^ème édition. Une masterclass donnée par Jean-Pierre Sauvage, Prix Nobel de Chimie 2016, sur le thème de la recherche fondamentale et de L’élégance des molécules a ainsi été programmée pour débuter nos échanges.

Les années paires étant traditionnellement en France le moment de la grande réunion des « glycoscientifiques », rendez-vous donc fin mai 2024 en Alsace dans la belle ville d’Obernai.

We are delighted to invite you to participate to the 29^th congress of the “Groupe Français des Glycosciences” (GFG), which is scheduled in Obernai from 27 to 31 May 2024. Science, interdisciplinarity and conviviality have been historically ones of the major ingredients of GFG congress. Meeting highlights will include the GFG prize-giving ceremony, lectures by internationally renowned speakers and the always lively poster sessions. The proximity of Strasbourg, “the capital of Nobel”, will not be without influence; a masterclass given by Jean-Pierre Sauvage, 2016 Nobel Prize in Chemistry, has been scheduled to start our scientific exchanges.

GFG congress traditionally takes place every two years and provide to "Glycoscientists" an opportunity to exchange on the latest scientific advances in the field. Of note, most of the lectures/oral communications will be in English. In addition, the congress book of abstracts, posters and texts in powerpoint presentation will be in English.
